Senior Medical Writer, Medical Education – Central London

The Role
Senior Medical Writer to write copy including for invitation letters, websites, programme books, slide decks, published reports, and full manuscripts.
- Create concepts and content
- QA and review of materials
- Source of knowledge for therapy areas including diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the ABPI Code of Practice, and the role of bodies such as NICE
- Liaise with authors / speakers
- Provide guidance and supervision to AMWs and MWs
You
- Good degree in life sciences and training in the ABPI code of practice
- Editorial experience in a medical education setting – writing, editing and proofreading
- Able to synthesise complex information and solve problems pragmatically
- Knowledge of the main principles of pharmacology, evidence-based medicine and drug regulation and governance (e.g. types of clinical trials, role of bodies such as NICE)
- If you have knowledge of cardiovascular/renal/metabolic disease, its treatment options, management in the UK, and the landmark clinical trials affecting practice you get bonus points!
