Partnerships Director: Business Development: Medical Education, IME / CME – Fully Remote - £competitive

This is a brand-new role for a Partnerships Director to join a fast-growing digital publisher of independent medical education and industry news for the online healthcare professional (HCP) community.

As Partnerships Director, your role will be to identify, build and strengthen partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, research institutes, medical research foundations and societies to support the expansion of education in each disease area.

The Company

  • Industry leading digital publisher of medical education and resources for HCPs
  • Produce a wide variety of digital media content for world-leading online video journals
  • Provide CME, Elearning, scientific workshops and advisory boards.
  • TA’s include oncology, haematology and neurology.

The Role

This newly created position of Partnerships Director will join this established business to:

  • lead the Partnerships strategy in order to deliver company targets
  • sell service offerings to medical affairs, medical directors and occasionally marketing contacts
  • attend congresses to identify, meet with and build new relationships with potential partners
  • maintain and expand contacts with all potential and current partners, mapping organisations and contacts
  • proactively following up partners and maintain CRM database and forecasting trackers
  • work with Grants Team who will manage grants applications and administration.

You

Must have a life sciences background and successful business development track record, ideally within IME / CME:

  • highly organised, calm under pressure and someone who enjoys a highly varied workload
  • previous experience in a life sciences business development role
  • excellent abilities to build and maintain rapport as an ambassador of the company
  • analytical, research and planning skills with the ability organize and manage multiple projects at once
  • excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge publishing environment
