Key Account Manager, Ophthalmology – New Company to the UK – Southern England (ideally based in or around London) – Extremely Competitive Renumeration Package

The Company

  • Our client is a Biopharmaceutical company making their first move into the UK market.
  • They have a clinically effective and cost-effective prescription ophthalmology product that will be used in a hospital setting.
  • They are launching into the UK early next year and initially looking for 2 Key Account Managers – one North and one South, with plans to expand the team further as the successful launch rolls out across the UK. The Sales Manager is already in role.

The Role

  • As a Key Account Manager, you will launch an ophthalmology product across your territory at the end of Q1/ start of Q2 next year.
  • You will collaborate with key opinion leaders to facilitate formulary adoption and foster advocacy among these leaders.
  • You will achieve sales targets through the implementation of sales, marketing and market access strategies to launch and grow sales by working cross-functionally with market access, marketing, medical, and commercial teams.
  • You will develop, implement and maintain a strategic business plan for your region and become the primary point of contact for Key Opinion Leaders, Healthcare Professionals, Specialists and all related stakeholders.

You

  • You must have recent experience working in ophthalmology.
  • You must have a network in place in ophthalmology across at least part of the territory, ideally London.
  • You will be excited by the opportunity to work for a brand new company in the UK and bring with you entrepreneurial flair and a business mindset.
  • You will have proven secondary care sales experience with a good working knowledge of local approval processes and protocol development.
  • You must have the ABPI.
