Intellectual Property Manager US – Global Pharma – Boston MA with hybrid / flexible working - $negotiable DoE + benefits
The Company
This is an exciting time to join a global, market leading pharmaceutical company. Pioneering innovative therapies for a range of diseases, this company is growing at an exponential rate. With a huge presence in the EU, they are now launching in the United States and are recruiting an Intellectual Property Manager to further assist in this growth
The Role
You will manage the patent opportunities and existing portfolio and be crucial in shaping the long term strategy within the US.
- Oversee end-to-end patent and trademark operational integration activities
- Monitor markets and potential infringement / litigation cases
- Advise on litigation cases, timings, actions & reactions
- Be an internal advisor and act with internal/external counsel
- Support with US trademark strategy, including preparation, prosecution and defence
You
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field relevant to pharmaceuticals, life sciences or biotechnology
- Experience in IP operations in a patent law firm or in-house IP department preferably with litigation and infringement experience, ideally registered US patent practitioner.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or healthcare industry
- Exceptional understanding of US patent and trademark prosecution rules and procedures
