Director of Compliance – Healthcare Consultancy – Manchester/ London – Up to £70k
The Company
We are partnered with a leading market research-based consultancy with a focus purely on the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. For over 25 years, they have partnered with most of the world’s leading Pharmaceutical Companies to design and deliver research solutions that generate meaningful insights and inspire commercial decision making.
With a presence in the UK and USA, they provide global research coverage, with the majority of their projects being multi-country in nature, including a mix of Western Europe and the Nordics, North America, South America, Australia, China and Japan.
The Role
A brief overview of responsibilities entrusted to the postholder are as follows:
- Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the business externally with clients and professional bodies, and internally within the wider group.
- Interact with operational leads in each research business and ensure all aspects of compliance are upheld in the delivery of research projects.
- Provide support and help with external audits (client, ISO etc.), including preparation for the audit, ensuring all information and project files are audit ready.
- Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to client requests, RFIs or audits and ensure that there is a consistent response to such requests.
- Educate employees on the legislation/regulations and the impact to the organization of non-compliance.
- Develop and implement Research Franchise standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide support for 4 direct reports, mentoring their career development and progression.
You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following qualities:
- 5 years of relevant compliance experience. Experience within market research is desired but not essential.
- A Practitioners Certificate in Data Protection, or a minimum of Level 3 Data Protection training, CIPP/E or CIPM or equivalent training for GDPR compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience of process review and improvement, with the ability to identify weaknesses and implement tangible changes.
- Experience in client audits, as well as SAE (Serious Adverse Event), SUSAR, and PSUR processes.
