Director, Educational Development – Global Medical Education (IME / CME), Oncology & Haematology – Fully remote, UK / Europe

The Company

  • Leads the global development and dissemination of CME
  • Has a mission to improve clinical knowledge, performance and patient outcomes through the delivery of accredited medical education.
  • Develops online and live educational activities for HCPs
  • Provides insight on emerging areas of research and delivers updates on the latest scientific advances and the potential impact on clinical practice.
  • Is looking to expand its Global CME division in Europe

 

The Role

As the Director, Educational Development, you will be an integral member of the team responsible for identifying grant funding opportunities with pharmaceutical companies and securing grant approvals to develop online and live educational activities for HCPs in Europe.

  • Drives sales and revenue growth by selling solutions including multimedia on-demand activities, live meetings, and multi-format curricula.
  • Acquire, manage and expand new global biopharmaceutical accounts and deliver against funding targets.
  • Work closely with scientific strategy and grant operation teams to write and deliver compelling grants which meet the unique needs and regulatory requirements of diverse international markets.
  • Identify market trends, assess competitor activities and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations to supporters, showcasing the value of the CME programs on medical education and professional development.

 

You

This Director, Educational Development role will be perfect for someone who has:

  • Demonstrable success in selling both live (in-person and virtual) and on-demand CME activities.
  • A thorough understanding of medical education and CME, and the process by which it is sold including the accreditation processes and requirements.
  • Significant experience selling to and working with the pharma, biotech or medical device industries with solid business acumen
  • A proven ability to develop and grow strong supporter relationships
  • An ability to work as an effective team player in a deadline-driven, fast-paced sales role.
  • Oncology and Haematology experience is a bonus
