Business Development Manager – Manchester – Market Research/Fieldwork Agency – Up to £40k Salary plus Commission
We are currently partnered with a boutique and thriving fieldwork agency who have a thriving culture and lots of career progression to offer. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their supportive team.
The Role
For this role you will be responsible for:
- Business Development & Sales: Identify, target, and secure new UK market research clients (healthcare, B2B, B2C, social). Develop sales plans, build pipeline, create proposals, pitch services, and identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with project teams.
- Client Onboarding & Handover: Ensure seamless client onboarding and structured handover to fieldwork teams.
- Tenders: Manage the full tender process (preparation, submission, follow-up). Develop proposals, gather information, meet deadlines, track outcomes, and build stakeholder relationships.
- Research Focus: Attend events, understand services/competition, and stay informed on industry trends and regulations.
You
For this role you will need:
- Proven business development and sales experience, preferably in market research
- Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Experienced in identifying and responding to research tenders
- Excellent communicator, negotiator, and presenter
- Familiar with industry regulations
